Winner: “Majestic Oak In Snowstorm” By Beth Baker
“There’s always a magical feel to the first snowfall in Yosemite, especially if the leaves are still on the black oak trees,” says Baker. “I enjoy photographing intimate scenes of snow on these elegant old trees. This photo was taken while it was snowing rapidly and I used a fast shutter speed to capture the snow as it was falling, which gives the image the feeling of a painting.”
