Daiwa has revamped its popular spincast reel, the Silvercast series with a crisp modern look along with enhanced performance overall. This is all done while still maintaining the simplicity and ease of push-button casting. An excellent reel choice for kids and other beginner anglers who are just starting out. Intermediate anglers can use the Silvercast reels to practice and improve casting techniques, and great for anglers who just want to enjoy a bit of nostalgia by going back to their simple fishing roots. The revamped Silvercast series of reels are well-engineered and affordably priced.
The revamped Silvercast reel series features a lightweight durable aluminum construction with a ball-bearing drive. The oscillating spool provides precise level-winding, with right or left-handed retrieve. The drag stack on the reels is made using ultra-smooth multi-drag disks, and the reel handles are made of soft-touch rubber for a sure and comfortable grip on all models. To top the reel off it has been given a more cosmetically sharp look with a modern flair added to the nose cone and body of the reel.
The Daiwa Silvercast reels are available in three sizes, SC80B, SC100B, and SC120B. All of the models come pre-spooled with a premium 8-, 10-, or 12-pound test monofilament line. The reel series sport a 4.3:1 retrieve ratio with the line reel per crank being between 21.8- to 25.9-inches per turn, depending on the model.
Easy and simple to use, reliable, and priced right at an MSRP of $39.99, Daiwa’s revamped Silvercast series of reels offers new anglers or old anglers alike an easy and inexpensive way to have fun on the water.
